I haven't done much on clickbank, but I see a lot of opt-in boxes asking for visitors email for free info on a lot of the offers I want to test. Do we get any kind of credit for a sale if it's made through email and not on the site? It seems kinda sneaky to me and maybe a way to avoid paying the affiliates their commissions. I would just stay away from these, but it seems there are more and more of these popping up each day.
That is the way Internet Marketers make their money, in their lists. They will bombard you with offers from then on. I will give them my info if it is something I really want to check out. Then unsubscribe from their list later on. I guess that is where you have to have good landing pages for yourself, becasue if you don't your just giving your customers to the person selling the product. I am sure other people here can explain it better.
Thanks for the reply. I understand why they do this, but I'm curious if the offers that have their opt in boxes pop right in your face is generally a bad offer to promote. I would think so myself, but looking for opinions on this. I know that some offers will convert regardless. I guess it's just a bit frustrating that most of the offers I want to promote have opt ins right at the top of the landing pages.
Normally, a successful sales is made after 3-5 follow-up emails. that's why an opt-ins. They promote for you after you refer visitors to their landing page. Your action is just one time. Then they promote for you many times until they close the sales. The bad point is, they have this customers list. They can promote to them the same niches in the future and make additional sales. This is what we say" Money is in the list". What you can do is to create yourself a landing page with opt-in. After visitors opt-in only then you send them to the merchant's opt-in page/sell page. This way, you can keep the list for future promotion. ( You need autoresponders to help you on this).
