Did anyone watch Deal or no deal last night?

This fat guy kept saying the $3 million dollars was in the case he selected in the beginning. Near the end, the only cases left unchosen were something like $3 million, $500,000, $500 and $1 or something like that. He ended up taking like $800,000 and walking away. They finished the game (letting the guy pick for fun). At the end, 2 cases would have been left. $1 and $3million. When they opened up his case, it did, in fact have the $3 million prize. Ouch.

I still thought it was a smart move to take the money and walk (odds were against him at the point), but still.

IMO, in Deal/No Deal one should never aim at the top price, its always about getting into situation where there are very less high value briefcases left, then make your best bet and walk away.

Yep. I agree. Totally random chance makes the game too difficult to predict. This guy was getting lucky the whole time. I was thinking I would have walked away 2 rounds earlier (when the offer was $400,000 or something) but sticking it out paid off. The guy before him totally got screwed - if that guy would cut out earlier he would have won like $140,000. Instead he only got $56,000.
