piqq.us sucks!

I'm member of piqq.us since they started, well even before when it was diggboss. i loved the idea of the plattform, but to be honest, i think this service is crap.

    why?
i talked with a friend about piqq.us and i invited him to try. he submitted his story and i logged into piqq and i saw the story #1 on my list.
maybe a coincidende, cause it should not be likely to happen.
piqq.us told us they only show your requests to a small group of their members randomly choosen. thats important to avoid group clustering on google that can easily spotted by diggs algo.

then the other day i was watching some of the mostly crap stories submitted to piqq and how their reaction on digg.com was. a large amount of stories was commented by digg users saying "this has been on piqq.us - spam"

my friends just bought a couple of diggs from piqq to support his story and now he tried to submit another article from the same domain.
he got a nice greeting from digg saying that his domain was used to spam digg and can not be submitted anymore (for a while?).

i honestly wish that there was a service like piqq.us that is actually working. i don't mean to bash piqq, but from ym experience this thing deosn't work and only burns domains with digg. from all the stories i watched on piqq, i can not remember one being successfull on digg.
of course i'm not logged in all the time, so maybe your experiences are different.
sometimes it's hard to spot the good stories on piqq, as 9 out of 10 of the submissions are already crap.

what are your experiences with piqq?

Well then it your friend should have not got "support" from them for the story. Also all the stories have to be crap or else they could get digg it self couldn't it? ;)

if used with iq, services like piqq.us can make sense. i've seen many very good stories on digg that didn't make it because lack of exposure. for me piqq.us brings a kickstart in exposure.
there's no point pushing crap towards diggs frontpage, as people will never link to it.

The campaigns will only be shown to 33% of our members (taken randomly).

Of course, if the story is spammy, it won't be well-received by the Digg community. Just think about it. Anyone can submit any Digg URL to piqq.us. So let's just take a random Digg URL and submit to piqq.us -- and poof -- that domain is banned from Digg! (do you think it could really happen? if that's so, we can ban any domain simply by submitting that domain to piqq.us :D) That scenario can only happen if the content is spammy. Then, even without piqq.us, that spammy domain deserves to be banned from Digg.

At piqq.us, we insert some random campaigns every now and then.
Random campaigns = random URLs taken from new submission at Digg.
This way, no one can tell which URLs are submitted by members and which ones are auto-submitted by the robot.

    Conclusion.
    Spammy content = bad response
    Good content = good response

piqq.us only serves as your launchpad.
Whether you success or not.... that depends on the quality of your content.

    Nice find, ORZ!

The funny thing is, if he posted "this has been on piqq.us - spam" for every URL on piqq.us, then he could be attacking innocent people on Digg.

Like I said earlier, we insert some random stories every now and then, so when you see a story at piqq.us, that story is either submitted by one of our members or was inserted randomly by our system. And there are more random stories than member stories.

I am interested to know what the "innocent" Digg members say when they see that comment, when they have never even heard of piqq.us :D
