I've use Pinterest and found that Pinterest increases its popularity for marketing and can generate traffic for your site, now Pinterest become one of the essential social site for promoting your brand. you can create different type boards for your different type of products.
Pinterest boards are ranking high on GOOGLE search, which means it will generate a decent amount of traffic to your website. Use keywords in your board title and description which will optimize it for the crawlers.
A friend of mine runs a fashion blog in Korea, and a very large chunk of her traffic comes from Pinterest. Pinterest is very good if you have a very niche site you're trying to get traffic to. Fashion is very broad, but my friend focuses mostly on accessories, so whenever people search for that, they're bound to stumble into one of her posts on Pinterest.
you can take benefit from pinterest. for some sites specially wallpaper sites results are clear that pinterest can give you more visitors than facebook or twitter. webmasters are now giving more importance to pinterest because of its rapid growth of visitors. bottom line it is also fruitful for your off page seo when it comes to driving visitors from social networking sites.
SEO? I don't think Pinterest is good for that anymore as it is possibly a no follow site now. However, it is still useful for getting traffic and gaining followers, just as long as you are posting meaningful and unique content in your descriptions. It's also good for building a positive reputation on the Internet and getting the word out about your site-blog, products and services. If you're in affiliate marketing, it's also good to 10 items from your site or blog that has affiliate links on it as people made tensely re-pin and help to possibly increase your affiliate commissions.
Here are some interesting stats on Pinterest: Pinterest is now either the 2nd or 3rd biggest social network, depending on which statistics you read, and is currently showing the fastest rate of growth. There is no vertical size limit on pins, providing a great deal of scope for creativity Approximately 58% of Pinterest users are females Product pictures pinned with a price are more effective (that is to say they will generate a better CTR) than product pins with no price shown Click through and sales conversion rates are better on Pinterest than on either Twitter or Facebook Pinterest users tend to have a higher than average disposable income Some of the most popular Pinterest topics are interiors, DIY, cookery, fashion, hobbies and crafts Shoppers referred to a website via Pinterest spend 10% more than those referred by other sources
Pinterest is good to get traffic ,but your bounce rate will get high. Also you will have to spend more time to pin the images more and more. Good thing is you get back links from pinterest.
i am getting more trafffic through pinterest .. i didnt even promote the url of my pinned images.. still i am getiing traffic for my this website.. gamemela .. google it..
Use social media to reach your target audience. If your website is Greek and the amount of Greek users on Pinterest is extremely low you may want to focus another social network. If you have no interesting images to share you may also want to stay away from pinterest.
Pinterest is great to get some initial traffic. Appealing imagery and pictures will get you traffic, but it's up to you to make your website interesting to keep visitors there, and not have a high bounce-rate.
Pinterest is great for sending out small quotes and pictures. It's a great way to stay updated when you don't have a lot of time to write on your blogs.
Actually, i gave up on Pinterest almost 2 years ago. Accounts getting banned or ghosted or getting way too much captchas. They are far more better social medias to work with that are less problems. 2cents
If you are an artist or the industry you wor in is more artistic - Pinterest is a must. It's not easy, butif you have a good content it gets repined superfast
I would concentrate on using it for its intended purpose...to share ideas, concepts, tips, etc with people. I would also weave in your own stuff fluidly with what else you share with...most businesses just blast their stuff out there. It's very off-putting to most people. Don't try to "game" the system, like most IMers are bad about doing. LOL
Started using it. I'm not impressed. And i don't believe that they have over 100 million active users...
hm i guess you're right... but still think that Pinterest overrates their active fan base (at least by 10-15 mil)
Right now you don't benefit from Pinterest regarding SEO but it might change (who knows) Like she said, work with quality account. It pays off. I used to have more and it was time consuming for nothing. Heck my personal account is getting some attention ! I should monetize it LOL
