Ok this is the first in what I hope to be many articles helping people market there site. www.Pinkhouseproject.com A website about showing off you talents, for starters we need to look at the website itself because it’s one thing to get traffic to a site but you also need to get people to want to revisit your site. So when you first visit the site you get a flash intro that takes awhile to load most people don’t like wait times and even more so don’t like to have to watch a flash intro . Also when you get to the main page there is no real description about what the site is about and why they should look around the site, this is a major factor in people staying at your site alot of people over look this simple thing which could cost you alot of visitors. With these small things corrected you will see alot better signup’s on your site when we start marketing it. Now let’s get marketing your site , for starters if you want get a quick source of traffic to your site in your article section I’d write an article about what it takes to become talented make sure it’s a good informative article and submit it to Digg this will get you some real quick traffic to site. Next you want to start submitting your site to as many directories as you can this will help you to build some back links to your site , I have a big list on my blog under marketing which should help you get started. Then you want to get some links from sites that are higher in the search engines , you do this by emailing the owners or webmaster’s of the sites asking them if they will link to you sure alot of them will turn you down but you may get some good links which help you get higher ranking. Next you want to use all the social networking sites out there like www.stumbleupon.com , www.delicious.com , www.reddit.com and others just submit to as many as possible. After that you should start writing alot of quality articles on showing off your talents and posting them at forums about that topic with your site link in the signature and after awhile you will notice alot people coming to your site to get more of your informative information.
