    About PingPond
    Your users can monitor the ping response time and uptime statistics for as many sites, servers and ports as needed. E-mail alerts can be sent if a particular site is not responding or responds too slowly.

    PingPond comes fully automated with a registration system and a cron file that handles all pings and alert generation.

    The Backend

    The site is built from scratch using PHP, Javascript and jQuery with a MySQL database. The graphs are generated using Google Graphs API. All of the code is fully commented to allow for easy understanding and editing.

    Response Times

    Any website can be monitored across multiple ports (e.g. 80 for webserver, 443 for SSL) with their response times logged and graphed. The user interface also displays the latest response times and daily averages. PingPond can be configured to allow any port to be monitored.

    Annual Uptime

    The percentage uptime is also monitored and averaged over the previous year (or since monitoring began, whichever is shorter). Useful for a user to keep tabs on how well their server is performing and to make sure they are getting value for money from their host.

    Help Page

    The user can refer to the help page, which gives a guided tour of the interface to help you understand what each button does.

    Handover

    Upon successful completion of the auction, I will happily transfer and manage the set up on your host. Please note, that your host must support PHP, MySQL and user access to cron.
