I have some questions about the pinging tools?

1. Does using the pinging tools help or does blogger & wordpress have them already built-in?

2. Could you compare the pinging tools?

3. What happens if you use a pinging tool with a forum? If so, how?

3. What happens if I used a pinging tool with a regular website?

 

Pinging tools helps in faster crawling of blogs.

 

1. Pinging is a method to alert the aggregators to changing content. Traditionally it has been used with blogs and you can setup automatic pings. I personally prefer to ping manually after a post.

2. Comparing ping tools? Check out ping.in and pingoat.com . They both do pretty much the same thing and work well.

3. I don't use a ping tool with a forum, but if the forum is popular, you should have no issue attracting spiders because they will recognize that the content changes so frequently.

4. I have used it with a regular website for a bit but stopped. Didn't really have any issues while using it.

 

Yeah, what coated said - just to also confirm that yeah you should try using pinging on any kind of website, especially sites with RSS feeds. They tend to be the most readable by pinging services.

I've learned this from RJ (Rich Jerk), he uses pinging on everything! Even on YouTube profiles lol.

i use ping for my blog and my website. and used well.

 

if u can ping your blog then its easily consider by google

 

I also use pingmyblog. Google indexes your site much, much quicker this way.

ever day i ping at least one of my pages if thier not indexed or new. it tells the engines that theres something there.. thats all.
