Hi There, I hope my fellow DP members can help me on this: I have just started a new blog on WordPress 2.7; so far I have just done the basics, i.e. changed the theme, created a few pages and a couple posts. What I want is to configure my blog so as that it automatically 'pings' as many sites as possible whenever I make a post. I remember a particular Internet Marketer setting this up and he had a list of sites to ping to including the popular pingomatic. Does anyone have a complete list and HOW do I go about setting this up? Thanks for reading and I hope I have made my query clear!
They keep changing everything around with each upgrade and I know it's in there someplace, but I just install a plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/maxblogpress-ping-optimizer/ and click on it in "Settings" and register your email and then you'll be able to add sites, just click on Maxblogpress in the Settings tab.

Ping-o-matic is already in there by default and blog posts are automatically pinged, but if you want to add more sites you can. I know you can do this without a plugin, but I just have trouble finding it with all the upgrades changing the dashboard interface.

Just go to your Admin>settings>writing and at the bottom you can add as many as you want.
