Pinging a blog

    When using logger or when Wordpress host a blog is you blog automatically pinged when you publish the post?

    yes but its better to do manual ping, just got to ping-o-matic or pingoat

    Why is it better ? What's the difference ? A ping is a Ping, are you saying that the Word Press ping option is no good ?

    The wordpress pinging system is horrible. It pings a list of sites set in the options area, however it sends out a ping every time you edit your post, add a new post, etc. It can easily get to the point where your OVER pinging - which most of the ping sites will ban your site as spam for. I'd recommend getting a plugin that limits the pinging, I use one on y blog that only pings once an hours no matter what activity is on the site.

    yup. mpo is a good ping optimizer for wordpress. i don't know about blogger. also make sure you have a good list of ping sites.

    Hi,

    Use Google sitemaps, Everytime you post anything search engine will get to know automatically, you need not to do anything extra.

    This is one good option to get search engine friendly :)
