Open up a command prompt. Type in the following: ping yourwebsitename.com Replace yourwebsitename.com with your site and hit enter. It shows the IP address and other info.
The term gets used to describe when you've updated your website and you ping other websites to prompt them to re-fetch your RSS feed, xml sitemap etc. They need to be reminded to check as site updates happen unpredictably. All will be checked eventually but pinging can speed the process up. It's important to check to see if you need to register your site with the sites you are pinging as they may just ignore you. That is particularly important with tools like pingomatic who broadcast your ping - you need to be checking for new additions to the network.
After you made apost on yous site/blog, you have to ping it. It helps the spider to crawl your new post. Try to use this ping sites. http://pingomatic.com/ http://pingoat.com/
