Ping vs Ping back

    Anyone or senior please explain
    I just confuse about the difference of Ping and Ping back
    what I know is that ping use to notify a service regarding blog update and article so that the engine will crawl the new contents

    and then what is a Ping Back?

    If someone add our blog post and add the clickable url our blog post below the post then this is ping back.

    A ping is a method to notify rpc ping websites and search engines about the new post in your blog. Then the rpc websites add the new post on their websites and also search engines crawl the new blog post in few minutes.

    Okay thanks for the answer, but I just found that ping back is come from the engine not the human, is more like a crawl.
