    Ello

    So I have just started my first RSS feed - what a cock up, i have created the page in php to get all the info, then I view this via my browser and cut and paste into a .xml page, It validates !! lol

    Anyhows I have one more to create then time to submit, but for my WP blog I ping to let people know its new, do I need to ping when these new feeds update and if so how? or is this just somthing for blogs.

    When WP pings Ping-O-Matic and any other services you have set up it's normally just for blogs. Some places even require the blog to be on specific topics in order to ping their service.

    What is your RSS feed about? Have a link?

    Yea - I am working with the owner of eatoutcornwall.com and we are going to cross pollenate listings I will send him accommodation, he will send me places to eat !!!

    But I will have to create his feeds as well hence owner not Webmaster! (not that I am a master)

    But I though why not use the damn things to generate some hits - the feeds will be new listings and another for late deals so the data is fluid.


    What do you think, worth a shot??

    You can ping using a desktop tool such as Blog Blaster http://www.dummysoftware.com/blogblaster.html

    That's what I use.
