Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone's interested in reviewing my site. Maybe you can give me tips on how I can improve it in terms of features, usability, SEO optimization, etc. Link: PimpMyWalk.com - Learn how to C Walk It's a site where people can learn how to C Walk, and do other dances that mainly involve the use of the feet/legs. I think the idea behind the site is quite unique and has alot of potential, but just wondering what you think the website is lacking, or what you think it needs. Would very much appreciate any input. Thanks in advance!
It's a nice simple layout. quite stylish and I like the colors. But the thing I think you don't focus on is your side navigation bar which is too plain and the orange in the news is a bit lonely, if you added a bit more color in that side bar your site would look better in my opinion but I like it.
I saw this site from stumbleupon before I came here and I thought this is one of the better designs I have ever seen
Looks very organized and well designed. The orange color on the headers seems a bit too bright, but maybe you wanted it like that to draw attention The forum loads a bit slow however, and that huge X on the forum page looks pixelated around the edges. Good ad blending on the front page though
Looks well designed and programmed. I think you should have music in the background to let people jump into the groove, what do you think?
the only negative thing.... is now i know how to c-walk and that can't be good. aside from that, your site rocks
Thanks alot for the nice comments! Believe it or not, most of the adsense revenue actually comes from the forum, despite the fact that the main homepage has better placed and more blended adsense ads compared to the forum. I always though forums were supposed to have lower CTR's, lol. But, I'm glad you guys like the design. Took me a while to get it up. I'll see what I can do with the forum load times. It doesn't seem too slow to me though. Thanks again.
I'm looking at the site on Firefox 2.0.0.5 on a 13" Macbook and your wordpress template (which I assume is the default one) looks incredibly messed up. Actually I just checked using Firefox 2.0.0.5 on a 22" with windows XP and I got the same problem. I've had this problem before when switching templates though so I know what's up. I usually get this problem when some float value in one of the sidebars is messed up and things get pushed around under eachother. Check through your CSS file and see if something like that is going on.
Thanks for the heads up, TheDivertex! I actually accidentally changed the theme to the default WordPress theme, so it got messed up. I just noticed now thanks to you. It's fixed now.
I love the layout personally -> The top banner with ad integration is nifty! -> Site colours are good, front page and such look nice -> CWalk tutorials.. FINALLY!! Anyways, nice site!
Good design. Looks active and organized. I do think a fluid width would be better, but just my opinion in this case.
