The design is okay. For the color on the search area on the left.. it kind of sticks out of the color scheme. Try setting it to either a pale blue or grey.

The design is very plain and you can give it a 3D effect

The black line at the end makes an abrupt ending

I like the yahoo answers thing..Good idea..
