I did... Problem. Snapped motor mounts. I just got the new mounts the other day. Will have them on this weekend!
The were busted when I got the car. One of them anyway. So the motor lifts up and the fan hits the shroud. It makes a terrible sound. Anyway, that will be fixed soon.
Actually it is quite safe, so long as you do not gun the shit out of it. The motor is tied down at three points. Tranny/cross member and front right and left sides inside the engine compartment. With one busted, or even two, I am perfectly fine under normal operation. My original dealer invoice showed up about an hour ago. It's awesome. Lists all the original options/prices and the dealer in Chicago where the Vette was originally purchase back in November of 1978. Cool shit. I contacted another guy who reproduces the original window stickers using either the build sheet or original dealer invoice. Should have that in about a week. I've got the original dealer brochures for the car, and the GM custom restoration package and binder compliments of Bowling Green FOR FREE!!! Again, a lot of cool shit. I just need to locate the original Owners Manual and would love to find the build sheet, though I doubt that will happen.
that's really cool you were able to get your paws on all that orig stuff! but don't forget that stock 8-track
I'm not quite sure how to respond to that and does sound kinda gross lol...but with this hot ass summer, theres plenty of sweaty chest to go around! hahaha
Maybe you could squeeze out all your sweat from your no sleeved shirts a.k.a vests, and insert it in bottles, name it as Pong and retail for $47. Better than Versace.
