Pictures next to link ads

    Can link ads be placed next to a logo that has no border? I searched but only see info for text ads.

    Probably. But to be safe, take a screenshot of what you want to do, then email them to Adsense Support to ask for permission.

    If it has no border, I think it has to have a substantial gap between the two.

    it has to have "a line of differentiation" i think. But yea u can ask google - take a screenshot as jack suggested.
