There's always been talk about having clipart next to the adsense ads as a method to increase CTR.

    2 questions regarding this.

    1. Is this allowed or does it violate the TOS?

    2. Are there any restrictions on the types of pictures...Obviously, xxx is out of the question, but everyone knows sex sells, that's why we have woman in bikini's selling cars, beer, etc. Can we follow the same decency standards seen on TV and apply them to our websites?

    Thank you

Put your ads up on a page and email google. They will tell you within 24 hours whether it is ok or not. if you are using pictures that may be in the slightest way controversial you don't want to depend on answers from a messageboard, you need to consult the people that are writing you checks.

images next to ads is allowed, but to be sure, make sure theres a clear space between your ads and your 'ad images'. you can achieve this by simply putting a border between the images and the ads.

The example that I saw had very thin borders around the images, and the ads were tight against the images.

The ads themselves were not framed by any borders, it was just the images.

Yes, you can go to my site and get pictures to place with adsense.

You can easily modify the code you are given to make the border thicker, the image moved just a bit from the adsense, and just about anything you want to do.

Check with google on your new ad, it is well advised to do so.
But personally, google told me that there is no problem using these templates.

Just do not do what one person did....
He added to the code a simple line "Click on the ads next to the picture"
