We all know about diferent ways to blend ads into text pages but how to be succesfull with a page with pictures. If you had total fredom: a few pictures that have the potential to spread like wildfire all over the internet a blank page (no menu,no restricrions) an adsense account how would you place them for best results with adsense. all pics on single page vs. next/previous buttons black vs. white backround adsense formats and colors text ads vs. picture ads If someone has experience with pics and adsense please share your experience. What do you think it`s the best combination for this. Ads will be targeted using meta tags (sescription and keywords) so don`t worry about that.
Apparently InfinityGuy has no other content. His one big problem seems to be trying to get around this "just a picture and Adsense" dilemma of his. The rest of us would realize by now that having some pictures of food on our site isn't enough, that we need to add more text content to get more targeted ads, but all InfinityGuy wants to do is find ways around having no text content by stuffing tags. I would offer him more advice, but at this point I don't think he cares to listen...
If you are confident there no need to ask the question Without good quality content it will be very hard to get quality ads to your site regardless of what you do. BTW text ads do better than the picture ads in my experience.
Pictures can be interesting content jackburton2006, it`s not about "just a picture" it`s about pictures that cover a specific niche. Photography is one of my hobbies and i am a bit upset about your comments, i don`t quite know what i did to upset you mr Jack. If the visitors come to the specific page looking for pictures of Open Heart Surgery should i write text for them when they want the pictures?Especialy when the ads are already targeted (and if there are not then writing some text about the subject is no problem but this is not what they came for if they clicked on a link that writes: Open Heart Surgery Pictures) In this case pictures ARE the content, i know it is different to what you are used to but it is still quality content. And from what i experienced until now ads can be targeted just fine by description/keywords (meta) when text is not desireable on the page. PS: about the food stuff for mr Jack: It was my bad choice keywords on that page but in the end it turned out ok because the gift basket keywords i went for had high pay/click. and another thing: I`m here to learn and share experiences like many others here, this is what I intend to do, learn>share, learn some more>share some more. Life is to short to know everything! Isn't it?!
hmmmmmm I think I may not stic around on a page with no pictuires ... Now if you had a picture with nices music and a grat bootle of wine an Audervers (spelling) .... maybe you could do a gallery showing .... I mean the bottom line why was yopu time .. google doesnt read pictues and the sites that are up there with out much text dont need adsense on them ... they are making money else where Wooooohooo my 50 th post
maybe pictures with a midi file in a loop with a hypnotic voice saying "click the ads, click the ads, click the ads...."
Back on topic: anybody with sugestions? or past experience with pages in witch the main content is pictures?
if that were to happen, there might be some "enterprising" webmasters tat might include a script to auto refresh your page say every 10 seconds or so.
Make a thumbnail page and place adsense between the thumb rows. On each page that displais the full size image you can place ad units above and below the image. Extra: - Use title text and description above/under the picture gallery. - Use the ALT and Title tags in your images for a description of the subject. These will help google finding related ads to serve on your pages.
I think you still need to have content or at least use alt tags on your images and make use of proper keywords in your metatags. I believe that just a picture might be against adsense terms of service though. I actually had a heading above one of my adsense ads on templatebase.net that said "Didn't Find What You Were Looking For, Try Below" and google saw this and made me remove it.
think the offending words were "Try Below" I think if you were to just put in the words "Didn't Find What You Were Looking For" and then followed by the ads, it should be ok. Since you are not really directing visitors to click on the ads in this case. Let me know how it works out for you
hi jerome, i still think that would be encouraging people to click because the "missing words" are automatically implied by the reader. if instead, you said "sorry if this image was not good enough for you!!!" then that might be a little better (but not much better!)
implied is different from telling. that is the whole reason behind images next to the ads right, to imply that the images are linked to the ads, taking advantage of the fact that humans tend to be visual creatures. i think we need a third opinion on this, but definitely the best thing is always, when in doubt, ask Google.
Stockvault's idea seems to be feasible, have you tried that approach yet? Otherwise I would say the same as most others, that you need to add some text. You say as an example that people might look at a picture of open-heart surgery and not need text, but I think that is false. pic 1 - this is the heart of a young child pic 2 - this guy had a coronary embolism (or insert any medical term here, dammit, I'm a marketer, not a doctor) pic 3 - this is the coldest, most shriveled up heart in the world (think Gates) pic 4 - the heart of an athlete who overdid his steroids All those pictures are benefitted by having explanatory text.
