I get tons of traffic to a photo gallery I have on my site, and I have tried a few different things, and can't get a ctr better than 0.5%

I tried have a button ad under the full res picture... low ctr.

I tried a 720 banner ad underneath the rows lined up with 4 picutures and still ultra low ctr.

    Any suggestions?

    You could try this:

figure out what pages on your site are the highest paying, and create a text ad that points to them. So having an introductory paragraph, with text links to higher paying pages above the images should trigger better paying ads too. The trick might be to create/trigger ads that would be commensurate with the keywords that are bringing the visitors to your site in the first place.

The payouts aren't the problem. It is getting the clicks..

I like the idea of pointing the traffic to another high ctr page.

I have been getting alot of people coming to me wwanting to advertise and this would be a perfect place to put their banners also and make some extra income...

    Thanks for the replies.
