I have taken some pictures of my products But I would like to know a easy and simple way I could make the background clear white like most retail stores online. Maybe using Picasa? since I don't have photo shop or illustrator nor do I know how to use any of them.

It's hard to say without seeing what you're working with. Were the pictures already taken against a white backdrop? Or is there a non-white background you need to remove?

Product shots like the ones you see online are taken against sweep background (basically just a curved piece of some non-reflective material). With proper lighting you don't see any seems and you shouldn't have to edit out anything from the photo. You can build a cheap sweep background with a piece of white bristol board taped to a wall.

If you already have a background that you need to cut out I would advise against it. It's very time consuming to get good results and it never looks professional. I'd recommend you retake your photos if you can, that way you will only need to do a little bit of retouching.

    Hope that helps :)

i can suggest that you get help with photoshop experts here with regards to removing the white background. may i know what kind of products do you have so we can also tell if it's really easy to edit? also, i suggest you do a retake of your photos as what Nexus6 has suggested and do his guide. as for me, i recommend having a quick tutorial of photoshop because it is really what you need in editing photos like what you are taking. ;)

well I googled techniques and I found this site : http://www.ehow.com/how_2064815_good-photos-item-listed-ebay.html

I took Nexus6's advice and re-took the photo. The new photo I retook is the first Gi photo on my website and the link is on my signature. At first it looked perfect to me than i realized it doesn't have a clear white background like the T-shirt picture on my home page. I was assuming that is done with photoshop? Is this something simple to be done with photo shop? Any suggestions?

I think Photoshop can make your background simple.. Simply you need to select and delete the background image of photo

If you send me the images I'll do the white background on them. Depending on how complex and the time it takes me I will charge, but if it's easy I won't.

    Email me: el@elzone.co.uk

    Thanks,
    Blackshift
