Picsearch.com - Any Traffic From This Pic Search Engine?

I've got several very picture intensive websites that are visited regularly by the Picsearch search engine. There are even a few images in the database, but should be many more.

Yet, while Google Image Search drives plenty of traffic my way, I never see any, nada, nothing, zip, zero, bupkiss traffic from Picsearch.

It just seems so strange given the subjects, the number of pics and the number of visits from the bots.

What have your experiences with this picture search engine been like?

    Thanks!

I have one image sensitive website too:

    Google Image Search: 95%
    Local SE Image Search: 4%
    Yahoo Image Search: 1%
    Other: zilch

    Hmmmm. Thanks for the response.

My 'bot policy is if you are legit and I get traffic, come on in but behave yourself.

I started this thread because while the picsearch bot is well behaved, it comes again and again and again. And like you Wiep, I just don't see any traffic.

Someone spent and is spending a bunch of money to create and run that service - you'd think it would work as advertised!

And I'd love to have some traffic from it. ;)

Don't forget that MSN Search uses image searching provided by Picsearch.

    Jean-Luc,

I did not know that! Thanks for that input. Have you seen image traffic from MSN/Picsearch?

I can't recall seeing any MSN image traffic either. But I do have good PR on MSN on several picture related terms - maybe its due to the Picsearch raw data?

    Try this in robots.txt :
    User-agent: psbot
    Disallow: /
    Code (markup):

I have always wondered the same thing. I see the PicSearch bot a lot, but have NEVER got any traffic from it on ANY of my sites. Thanks for the thread and I look forward to hearing from anyone else and their experiences.

Well, I started this thread in 2006 - wow - I still don't see any direct search traffic from these folks, but I do see it from MSN.
