Ok I was reading google news this evening, found this interesting.

Digital Photo-management company Picasa has experienced a dramatic rise in the number of visitors to its website, following its acquisition last week by search behemoth Google.

The company produces software that enables consumers to organise and share photographs online. When Google placed a link to Picasa on the Google UK homepage on July 16th, Picasa experienced a staggering 6,000% increase in visits among UK sites, according to data from Hitwise.

Picasa increased its rank among all sites from # 16,300 on July 9th to # 313 on July 16th and was the second most visited site within the Hitwise Photography category ahead of Jessops, Kodak and Canon.

I can believe that. Most people like myself visited just to see what the heck Google bought.

We got it in OZ also, I downloaded it and like it. Haven't played with all the features yet though but it's worth downloading.
