Studies have shown that tasers can have bad effects on humans - yet the police and military still use them!
Overall, I think they're a pretty solid way to restrain a dangerous individual when in the right hands. The problem is that we've been seeing more and more officers using them freely instead of simply talking to someone to calm them down or properly assess a situation. It should be used as a last resort; not when someone simply does not immediately comply to requests.
It is according to who is the man behind the gun. Just like a nuclear, it can be useful when used in right way. Tasers, even it can't be compared with nuclear, but it can be dangerous in the hand of bad guy.
Well, it is the medium between the police stick, and a gun. If someone is acting crazily, I think you would rather want to be tased than shot.
What's worse? Getting shot or getting tased? I've actually had a friend taser me, when I was younger, and I never noticed any side effects or anything.
i was thinking the same thing, that was a wild video. University of Florida student Tasered at Kerry forum
It's not the bad guy. They are encouraged to use it more. Just lazy and can't be bothered with brute force and gym. If Ronnie Coleman (police man and bodybuilder) was stopping some one, he wouldn't need a taser and their life would be safer.
