Yes, they have done it again. Twitter is down again. Earlier, it was a DDOS attack. According to Wikipedia, DDOS means: This time the site has been hacked by the “Iranian Cyber Armyâ€. The possible time, that the attack tool place was 12 a.m. December 18th. It’s been approximately 12 hours since Twitter is down, but no traces of it’s revival are seen. http://www.gizmoko.com/2009/pic-proof-twitter-defaced-by-iranian-cyber-army/
Yeah just saw an article on techcrunch techcrunch.com/2009/12/17/twitter-reportedly-hacked-by-iranian-cyber-army here's some of their handy work; http://www.mowjcamp.org Apparently they managed to break into twitters domain register and change the dns settings. Craziest thing of all is that they left their email address as part of their protest (gmail) lol.. all details here: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/12/17/twitter-reportedly-hacked-by-iranian-cyber-army/ ROOFIS
I wonder how many people are having withdrawl sypmtons because twitter is down. Funny how they took domain name over i guess twitter never saw that coming.
They gotta be morons for actually doing that to such a huge company. They are going to get sued for billions.
They operate from a country that is under a political and economical embargo..I really don't think it's going to be a problem. The US legal system has no jurisdiction in Iran, and it's very unlikely that those involved will be prosecuted.
Iranian hackers have been some of the most successful. They never steal any data or cause any actual damage to your site, they just deface it and put up their propaganda message.
Are you honestly kidding me right now? They're hackers from Iran. Politics don't really have anything to do with Twitter being defaced. Watch what you say because you'll look extremely ignorant.
