What is it, anyone had any affiliate commisions from Twitter? I don't get any of it. Anybody got any tips?
Build a reputable twitter profile, provide free valuable content in your tweets and not more than 10% advertising. And don't advertise your affiliate links direct. Promote your website from where you can promote/review your affiliate products
Twitter users are generally blind to ads. They don't even like Twitter itself posting ads. With the current economy users are holding on to their wallets and don't have a mindset to buy things they don't need. On the other hand, if you have something they can't do without you have a chance of making some money. Be careful with the Twitter spam police.
Because his hat is shiny, white, and sparkly, and/or he only has one twitter account. If you free yourself from that mindset, use socialoomph.com and hummingbird2.com , and twitter actually becomes fun. You can plug accounts into a wordpress site (or 50) using plugins, and any post that you make to the blog will be twittered automatically. Combine that with autofollowing and autounfollowing, and you never have to actually login and see twitter - you just post to it and reap the benefits.
I've never used twitter to push affiliate programs, I let me sites do that for me. I use Twitter to network and learn more from those who have been doing it longer them me.
Use socialoomph.com for that. You sign up for a twitter a count on twitter, customize the profile and add your url to it, remember the password, go to socialoomph, sign up for an aqccount there, setup your account to autofollow/unfollow, and can even set up autotwittering there. Then, if you have a wordpress blog, you can use plugins to feed your posts to twitter and feed your twitters to wordpress.
How so? I don't see it. I don't think it hurts and may drive some traffic. There are far better ways to do so. Please prove me wrong and show proof of this.
