Phukethotel.info or Phuket-hotel.com better?

    Phukethotel.info or Phuket-hotel.com better in terms of SEO?
    Does google and yahoo search engine treat them as the same?

    For me phuket-hotel.com is good. With/out "-" doesn't affect in Google and Yahoo but people first visit .com rather than .info, if you have commercial site.

    Phuket-hotel.com is a bit better for SEO as the hyphen seperates the 2 words.

    Well Phuket-hotel.com seems to be better to me. But you might be aware that you will lose a lot of traffic to Phukethotel.com for sure. However, if you SEO your site very well and develop a good website, you won't have to worry about anything.

    phuket-hotel.com seems better to me too. I did notice there is a phukethotel.com and phukethotels.com so the content and SEO, as OnlineBizGuru points out, will be critical to the success of the site.

    It depends on what sort of website you plan to offer. I think Phukethotel.info could have a number of advantages of Phuket-hotel.com if you plan to offer information on Phuket hotels.

    These include:

    You can lose traffic to Phukethotel.com with Phuket-hotel.com
    You have to say "Phuket Hyphen hotel dot com" to everyone you talk to in person.
    info is cheaper to buy (not that is should mean a lot if it's a serious project)
