Hi, I know that in google when you put the keyword in quotes it shows you the number of pages that are also trying to rank for that keyword. But what i dont understand is why people do that, when people search google they don't put the search in quotes. And the sites that come up when you do put the keyword in quotes arent always the same as when the keywords are out of quotes. So whats the point of all this quotes stuff?
Generally Phrased matched will be used when you are running PPC campaign and you want to know the bid value of the keywords, but yes few SEO's also use this match for organic search results to know the relevant search phrased on web pages and that may give little different result(with quotes vs no quotes) of the same search query. I hope this info help you.....
I'm sure there are some online searchers that use quotation mark in searching. And putting phrase in quote is a good searching command that the result will show some results in the same exact order or exact phrase, means more specific result. Key phrase is the same with a keyword in link building, use the exact phrase as anchor text.
