Hi all. I did my assignment however I cannot understand the context of the issue.

I have a website which shows up on the 4th rank on a 4 word keyphrase with little competition. It was made with wordpress it is new. Just created it 2 weeks ago. It was indexed by google right away

After 2 days It was then removed entirely from the index but after 2 days it showed up again but for the 4 word key phrase keyword A + B+ C+ D it shows up at SERP 950 rank. but using the 3 word keyphrase (removing keyword d. keyword d = "blog") it shows up in the 3rd rank.

Quite confused. I read articles but cannot get the context of "Phrase Based Re-ranking" since I am new to SEO as well as webdesign. about 2 months new. Hope someone helps.

    Thanks in advance

The Google 950 penalty is a scenario when a website suddenly slips down the Google rankings to bottom ranking, a shift of around 950 places. For example if a site was previously ranking number 1 for a particular keyword but is now the last result on page 10 off Google search results, this would mean that the site has now shown a drop of 950 places hence the term 950 penalty.

    Have you done something naughty?

But it sounds like you could just be flickering in the term which happens! it actually shows up in a nice position but takes a little while to settle in!!
