Yes, they are in partnership with the major TV companies and the contents are provided legally only to visitors within the United States. Visitors outsite USA can't see the content. I see no point in that as a webmaster, because the users may go to the offical TV site to watch the TV shows directly, instead of using Hulu, but it seems to be an advantage for US residents as an alternative mirror I think. Note: None of the above is not valid for others like Tudou, YouKu etc... You can stream from them too, but it must not be illegal material. BTW: How do those sites stay online while hosting so much illegal materials and profitting from advertisements? Yes, the owners do not post the contents, but can't I just do a similar site and mask it if like users are posting the content?
I know that youtube is currently being sued by ViaCom and the person that started the suit is some big wig that has MPAA backing. I feel that the other online video sites are soon to follow in getting law suits. If your streaming anything that you think is copyrights. I suggest that you stop streaming it (hot linking to it). Heck the tv links place that just hot linked to illegal content went to jail. Anyhow, do it at your own risk. .
Looks fake to me. The domain in question is still controlled by the site owner. Nor is it illegal to create a videosharing script. There are quite a few of them. Nigel
yes, looks like it's a fake ok I made a little research, and about the oldies versions, if you donwloaded oldies versions under GPL, according to license of those oldies versions, you are allowed to used it, the last version of that script under GPL/GNU license was phpVS-11 exodus did mention the owner of the script ( a person called Greg ), I think will be very helpful if this person open an account here an explain to us, if we can use or not the script, and other thing about the FBI print screen etc, feign to be FBI or using FBI logos and symbols without permission, it's a very serious issue prosecute by FBI precisely so it's important be careful with those fake's because could be a federal offense according to USA's law system.
@exodus weren't you the owner of the script and website, and then sold it? Maybee the buyer is in the movie-tv streaming business, and made the fake (if it is fake) to scare off competitors!? just a guess
I can 100% confirm it's fake. It's says in the text on the page that all scripts have a callback feature. This is false. I ran searches through all the files in PHPVS and not callback features. Just a iFrame for the forum in the admin panel and a link on the sidebar, thats all
