The $10 sale is now over, the price is back to the usual $15 at http://www.phpsmiley.com/purchase.php Kindest Regards, Rhett.
A great number of people have been asking about other payment methods. Due to this I now accept StormPay payments via this link: http://www.phpsmiley.com/purchase.php Kind Regards, Rhett.
When it all boils down its actually rather cheap . A lot of work has been put into the script to get it nicely coded and optimzed
This offer is still available. You can use the promo code 'bellweather' to get the script for only $10.
Nice looking script, a few questions: Can this be installed on a subdomain? Do images need to be on the same server that the script is installed on? What are your future plans with this? How resource hungry is this? I want all smilies to link back to my site, possible? How many ways can I add smilies? FTP, control panel, etc...
Hey Sam, It can be installed on a subdomain. The images must be on the same server, and uploaded only using the control panel. It's not resource hungry at all . If people are using your smilies ALOT then you can disable the popularity function which will kill any hugh resource usage. (Just takes about 10 seconds to edit out of the function). By default the images do not link back to the site, but it can be edited easily to create links that link back to your site for the BB and HTML codes You can only add the smilies via the admin control panel. Thanks for your interest Sam. Let me know if you have any more questions, Regards, Rhett.
I am new to this smiley thing and I am not sure if I can ask this question but here goes. How does a smiley site make money ? If they are linking the smiley from your site without a reference that it is from your site and the fact that smilies are free, how does one make money from it ? Is it typically an adsense type site and typically how much would one make from such a site. I apologize if these questions are inappropriate. I am just new to the idea but since smiley sites are a rave these days, I do not want to lose out to this opportunity but I need to satisfy my questions first. Thanks.
Hey eddy, No your questions are fine . The smiley sites are specifically designed so that you make money off ads (adsense, yahoo, adbrite etc to name a few). However if you want the HTML and BB codes for the smilies to link back to your website then that is very possible to do, just need to modify a function in the script so that it will do that. (I can do that for you if you like). Thanks for your questions, Rhett.
