If you're using phplynx, would you please give the url ...I'd like to see the variations of it in use.

    Thank You!

I do use it for one of my directory. But at present I am keeping it secret:p as I am using it for experimenting with Google's diff. algos.

But I can definitely say that- it is a bit difficult for Non-Techies (who do not even have basic knowledge) like me:eek:

Most people buy the full version and pay to take away the backlink so its not easy to check who they are. "Powered by phpLynx" will only show you those who keep backlinks, me I'd get rid of them to give me uniqueness.

amiecn...here is s a small list of Lynx directoires. Most, if not all of them are unique and give you a great idea of how Lynx can be manipulated and look totally different from the run of the mill.

    http://www.phplynxowners.com/free-directories/

Also, I believe the Lynx guys have a special starting in September for 50% off the purchase price. That's a steal given the fact it has lots of options you would otherwise have to pay for or go through the trouble to install seperately with some other scripts.

Hope this helps a bit. There are lots of great scripts out there. Take your time and compare them all.

    thanks Tom!

hopefully I can get in on that 50% off special, it'd sure help in my decision making process.

I have seen most of the sites on that list...and I still like the first one best LOL

I've asked Kev if he will let me post a load of his customers websites as there's loads I've installed without backlinks, problem is that there's a reason they take away the backlink, they don't want to have these attributes and we have to respect that. Lots of other script users don't mind, me I'd take mine away if I was being honest. Each to his/her own.

No reason you cant have a 50% discount amiecn, I'm on here now gonna post about it. :)
