phplinks directory. Catagories, where do i get them?

    Ok i just installed the php links directory. Where can i get the catagories database. I dont have to manually put all of them in do i??

    Yea you do. On the phplinkdirectory forum though Im pretty sure you can download a sample.

    Well, It really depends on what type of directory you are making. Is it a niche directory? If so, only you can decide what categories apply.

    I think phplinkdirectory has a dmoz import function, if it is just going to be a free for all directory.

    Your best bet would be to manually setup link categories relevant to your website theme. Setting up just a general link directory covering all topics just looks spammy to the search engines and isn't necessarily what your visitors would want.

    Yes, I would have to agree - I like being able to determine my own categories, just so that my dir isn't the same as the rest
