    I know what you mean about the place to post, I didnt want to post details of the sale itself, just letting you guys know that the site is actually up for sale, as I guess most directory webmasters that frequent these threads, will not necesarily frequent the BST sections.

    I just don't get the people always trying to be rules police. Come on guys .. whats wrong?

    He just wanted directory related people to see the auction. And I think its not just OK, but even good for potential buyer and seller as well.

    Good luck with the sale dude, its nice domain.

    I would have to agree with @Red_Virus he is correct in his statement, I also understand what your saying, no harm done etc.. however posting a site for sale any site in the correct section will still get a sale, regardless of the webmaster caliber.

    LOL! sorry for causing such a fuss guys! I do greatly appreciate the need to keep threads "on thread" as it were, it seems I spend half my life moving posts in my own forums!

    I genuinely just wanted you guys to know about the sale going on over in the BST section (after all its the kind of domain that will be of real interest to a lot of people in this part of the forums), and I think that by letting you know about the sale existence rather than re-copying details/holding another sales thread, I think that is within the scope of the rules under which we are governed here on DP.

    It remains to be seen if I get a dreaded infraction on this (I hope not!! :( )

    Anyway, thanks for your active debate on the topic, under my interpretation of the rules I think its ok, and fingers crossed for the sale (thanks for your nice words!)
