Just to comment on pricing - someone got it just right when they said it all depends on what it can do, and how well it can do it. Much of that will be determined when I give it to a few trusted people for testing. I'll be starting work on the conversion this afternoon (I avoid smarty wherever possible, so that's all got to be done before anything goes out). I won't give any timeframe yet - depends on how much free time I have in the near future - and it is the first weekend of the Premiership football season.
Although i run my own blog that sells contextual links services but your program is a bit "Out of my imagination" i mean i read your post 2-3 times but couldn't make anything out of it. I signed up for the Bloggers program and lets see how things go but i would need a simple explanation of how it is done Sorry if you feel i suck but the read was not a good one!
I meant I used simple php when making it for myself. The mod will be 'smartified', inline with the rest of phpLD.
No problem, if you PM me about it, I'll try and address your concerns. It will help me improve the usability of the site too. Since I see that you're a wordpress user, the basic idea is that you make use of the wordpress plugin to automate your sales (login, go to download page), and then optionally list your blog in the directory for advertisers to find you once you're all setup. Or you can list your blog without using the plugin if you have your own sales methods already. I won't say more about it here - want to keep this thread on topic - but I'd appreciate if you contacted me about it privately at some point.
Glad you decided to join, I'm always open to suggestions for improvements, since I'm only just starting up. Regarding the affiliate mod. I'm 90% of the way through the frontend (fully templated!), and all code / database changes have been documented and tested on a default 3.2 install so far. Once I've finished off the frontend, I'll take a break and then start on the admin stuff.
I would be definitely interested in something like this And if you need any input (testing or something) I be happy to help
all front end options completed, and working in a 3.2 test installation admin payout screen completed, still an options page to make (which includes individual affiliate editing) I have it limited to PayPal only right now, would anyone want that expanded to other payment processors? It would be an admin configured dropdown list, then the user chooses their preferred method, and inputs their account number / email. Payments would all be made manually through the admin payout screen.
E-gold, Moneybookers, 2co and Alertpay would be cool if you can take those into consideration please.
Ok, could you give me a little bit of help here. To make things more flexible for the admin, I'm not going to define specific processors. Instead, my plan is to let the admin enter a processor name, along with a phrase that will specify the type of check required for a valid account number / email. For example, PayPal uses an email address, and e-gold uses a number, so the configuration would be something like: PayPal|email E-gold|intX X would define how long the account number should be, which is where I'd appreciate a bit of info. For the processors mentioned, can you tell me if any of them use something other than an email address, or a simple number?
Sound real intresting, ime intrested in this. I will purchace from you when you complete the project. Just 1 question tho, will updates be free,as in many new mods there may be a bug or 2 and then we see v1.2 so will any1 who buys get the next version for free? if so count me in
Any bug fix updates (or any other kind of update) would be free - you would have paid for a working mod after all, not a broken one.
E-gold uses 7 digit number Alertpay uses email Moneybookers uses email 2co uses Vendor Number 7 digits
