I am currently using both the free and paid versions. Version 3.x is obviously more advanced being the paid version and all, but I find v2.0 has a friendlier back-end interface. Off course I've customized the back-end with some very convenient features; so its not just the default script I'm referring to when I vote for version 2.0. Which version do you prefer and why?
both version backends are easy to use I have added and changed up mine as well but find it a bit easier to add new links, menu's with 3.x
I would still choose v2, since it's free and the newer version doesn't really make much of a difference, as hhheng mentioned.
I am using phpLD (v2.0,v2.1,v.3.06 and v.3.1). All are great but prefer paid version as its loads with more features.
Some people are crazy. If you insist on phpLD v2 - has serious lack of features, inside the admin panel and on the main site. Its awful, like driving an old car. v3 - Has much more features, more mods available. Its better. Theres no hiding that fact. And to be honest if you say v2 is better as its free, thats just sad. Its those who dont want to pay the $25 tiny price of the script who complain later when they dont make any money like others do. Its like trying to build a huge great house without bothering to invest in good looking bricks. If you;re going to do it the phpLD way, do it properly. Who cares about the small matter of $25 anyway? just my opinion for what its worth.
Most things that are free have limitations so think about it, you get the extras when you pay and the additional features are worth the cost
It's a good point, but almost any mod available for v3 can be reproduced for v2. Like fixing up an old car it will probably end up costing you more in the long run, but it can be done. With that said, I do agree that the "free" issue should not be a concern, but throughout my personal experience I still like v2.
PHPLD 2.x if u want FREE... if u can pay then obviouslt PHPLD 3.x is a better choice with loads for u inside... better than the 2.x ofcourse..
I really like the features of 3.xx and by buying it you are helping to continue the development of the script.
Paid script versions usually include support and a closer attention to bug fixes and security updates. So yes, the 3.x version is the one to pick.
