PHPLD speed question

Wondering if anyone has a problem with their phpld directory timing out when they try to login to the admin section.

I have two directories, both hosted by Godaddy on linux. The actual directory seems to run fine, when I try to submit a link it's a little slow but it works.

But when I go into admin both directories have always taken 5-10 seconds to login, if I put in the wrong passcode it is almost immidiate.

Now one of them keeps timeing out, I cannot get into the admin section. The rest of the site seems to work fine.

Any Ideas what I can do. RIght now I have some paid links waiting to be accepted but I can't get in. :(

I think GD is the problem once again, I dont have any problems on my host, but its not GD so wouldn't be 100% sure.

Cool, I seen him on the phpld forum but I'm having password problems there. Admin is trying to figure out why I can't post as I write this.:)

With all the directory owners here I'll probably get a faster responce here anyway :)

Same here... it takes longer than 10 seconds to login.

First I thought it might be the host but everything works pretty fine apart from this so I'm not sure what is the issue...

When you said this happens from time to time. Do you mean that some directories have this problem or a lot of directores have this at times and it goes away.

This has been doing this all day, If I try tomorrow or another day is this likely to be gone? (hosting speed problems?)

I have one site that takes this long, and now today the second (on the same server) times out (both ie7 and firefox). Is there a way to increase the time before the browser times out?

This is how on top of things *I* am.... This thread was actually posted in the programming section and not directories. (a lil' fyi ;))

But anywho, i guess it would depend on the phpld callbacks and server response or probably godaddy hosting.

I don't get paid for this, but maybe dvduval can try and coax you into buying his $10 pock.. err support forum support. Or possibly one of the other gurus (here is your chance to shine) will help you out.

Then again, this may go upon deaf ears as someone already mentioned in another thread. try the phpld forums.

I debated where to put it desided on going straight to the directory owners :) Thought maybe is wasn't actually a programming problem but hosting or some other "User" issue.

I have no problem with $10, if it will speed up the admin section, I'll have it done twice. :) If you have someone in mind that can help send them my way.

Ah, Thanks. I wonder if that is why I can't login there. I've used the forums a couple times in the past, when I tried earlyer today it wouldn't let me login.

at this point, paying the $10 where ever it takes, is better than having to pay back they people who submitted to my site whom I can accept right now. :(

There is definitely an issue with godaddy servers. We addressed this for a lot of people in the supporters forum. If you can send over ftp access, this can be easily solved (assuming you have the same issue the others did).

I get time issues on one site with phpld 2, another site running v3 loads faster. Could be the host though.
