I have a question on my directory. It doesn't seem as though any of the page rank icons are working, for example check this page: http://www.edu-hq.com/directory/internet/directories/ At least one of the links in the directory should have a PR I would have thought?
because Google isn't allowing your hosting server to poll for PR. e.g. you're blocked. find and install directoryspy.com's pr updater.
I had this problem too your host has restricted the request please turn off PR. or contact you host and ask them for a valid reason. There is no problem with the script.
For some reason, the pr update tool didnt work for one of my directories...(yes its a different host) I also tried using different datacenters for the update tool. Lets see when i can fix it...
I haven't been able to work out why this is the case. I use a 3rd party script to determine the PR, and I don't know enough about the protocol to debug it myself. Does Google provide an API to interogate PR? Dan
Google does not provide PageRank in their API You have to use a special checksum and simulate browser behavior to get the pagerank.
try this mod . i had same Problem . my host blocks the google PR . http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1258136#post1258136 this works for me on my Free Directory
I successfully installed the directoryspy.com mod and the PR update is now working properly. If you haven't installed it because your worried you might screw something up, don't worry, if I can do it, anyone can!
