Hi, I've been reading posts here about how Google stops some hosts from getting PageRank information. I'm currently with a host that Google has stopped and hence links on my site do not get the correct PR assigned to them. I've developed a stand alone windows application which connects to your mySQL phpLD (v3.x) database and updates ALL the pageranks in the PLD_LINK table, all directly from your desktop!! Here is a link to the application: http://www.gjsolutions.co.uk/files/PRUpdater.exe It works great for me. Just thought I would share it with you all. If there is interest shown in this application then I may update it etc. BTW: It's free to use!!! 100% safe!!! Cheers .... Gerald.
Hi, Yes I know about that and have installed it. The trouble is, it does not update the PR. Because it's a mod for phpld it uses the same ip address as your hosts ip address to access google to get the PR. Google has stopped some hosts IP addresses from getting PR info... I have this problem with the host I am with (toshosting.com)... So to get around it I created this standalone application. Cheers ... Gerald.
This is just great man i am currenltly using phpld update mod..and it's better for those who are not good in tech stuff like adding tables in sql etc.. Saad
Hi, I've never tried it with v2.x of phpLD ... it will work if the PLD_LINK table did not change from 2.x to 3.x. If it has changed if someone tells me the column numbers for the following I will happily release a v2.x compatible version: 1) Link ID column number 2) URL column number 3) Pagerank column number Cheers .... Gerald.
hrmmm... i'd find it hard to trust: 1. an .exe without source. 2. someone who's been here for a month and offering exe's 3. someone who removes template credits. (thats irka's design)
Also make sure your host allows remote sql acess otherwise it will not work..since it connects to your database remootely. Saad
nice, I'm not sure about exe, being used, unless the authoer/coder tells that psw for sites is not leached. A nice alternative though.
1) Source code is available, just PM me for details. 2) If you don't want to use it then don't. It's that simple. 3) Just reread the terms and conditions of use and you are right, there should be a link to phpld your site. This has now been added to the site. Cheers ... Gerald.
I would like to use it, but I just going to wait for more reviews about this tool. It already has many positive reviews.
