okay anon! you are having a link detail mod just like this http://www.directorydump.com/ebusiness-directory-link-614.html can you do like this? http://www.directorydump.com/eBusiness-Directory.html This will be real challenge for you!
Ethic and seo reasons. I always hated sites with 5-15 featured listing and then 10-30 regular listing, all in the same page. I only allow 10 links per page so that the page won't lose its pagerank in the future and also the 10 links listed will have a good pagerank share. It would also look pro for the visitor. Thanks to spammers and low quality sites, it was switched to paid.
I understand your point. I might do as you're doing in the near future. I used to give free listing, but people never followed my guidelines. It would be nice to see more directory owners advertise their directories to bring traffic to their listings instead of advertising their directories to bring customers to buy more listing from them. A strong backlink is good, but is not enough specially when google will be watching who's selling or buying links. One lesson I learned: Take care of your customers and they will take care of you
The next version will be something like 3.2.1 or 3.3.0 and it will be at least a couple of months from now. During that time you will see some other releases including an improved Article Script, a new version of Newstopica (rebranded under a new name), and a new Photo Album script.
The only spam I recieve now days is people leaving out the reciprical link as spam gaurd (from AnOn) has taken care of it
The versions will be like 3.3, 3.4, etc., so the price structure should stay the same and a 4.0 version won't be coming out anytime soon.
but isnt newstopica banned from google? http://www.google.com/search?source...GGL:2006-27,GGGL:en&q=site:www.newstopica.com rebranding it to try and sell it to more ppl again?
Yes, that is true. I've studied carefully, and there are clearly some other products like Newstopica that are not banned. I have contacted google a couple of times, and they don't seem to reply back, so I can't determine the exact reason. I used to say that Newstopica will help you "create a site like Google News". It may be they did not like my slogan.
I dont get it, how will rebranding it help, going to be the same script other colors, name etc... wont google ban it once again?
Not necessarily, because we don't know if it is the function of the script. It could have been something on the site (such as content in the demo that I let others try), incoming links, or the slogan I mentioned in my last post. As I said, there are other scripts that have the same "function" as newstopica that are not banned, and there are even a number of sites that run newstopica that are not banned, so there is reason to believe there is hope.
