So I'm thinking of buying version 3.0 ... but I just want to know will a 4.0 be coming out soon that i should wait for?

You buy the script one time and then you can update for free when there is a new release.

I would check with david to see if you get a free upgrade when the 4.0 is released. There has been talk that you would have to buy the 4.0 all over again.

Im not sure if 4.0 is going out soon because 3.2 was just released 2 months ago.

Yes, the free version is good but the paid one has more features.

I have sent David a pm and will see if we have to pay for version 4.0 or not.

The free version had a upgrade not long ago. Its pretty good but stopping the spammers if a pain and useless.

 

I would think once you pay for the script you get free lifetime upgrade.

 

From the rules i have seen that :
" Free upgrades for future 3.** versions "

So i suppose for v4.0 we will have to pay again

Well till then who knows you won't need to upgrade itself!? With the mods coming up daily.. till then u'l have a fully loaded directory why upgrade?

 

Very good point. My directory in the signature is still running 3.6 and im not in a hurry to update to 3.2 since I have used all the mods I need.

We will have to upgrade in case of security bugs...etc

 

It would be interested to see how many will keep buying this script if we are require to pay all over again.

It would make much sense to use other script that offer lifetime upgrade.

Anyway, I will check on this issue because I was planning a to buy a few extra licenses, but this is the case I will think twice before buy anymore.

Well, if you compare it to many scripts such as mrcgiguy script or vbulletin...etc Their support/upgrade is for one year only.

yes, 3.3 , 3.4, 3.5.1 , 3.5.2 , 3.6

New versions are ever tempting... Not all can be modded

 

I can mod any version and adjust to anything new as well as maintain backwards compatibility with code for each MOD I make.

Hell, I can even find flaws in 3rd party MODs like I am in the middle of doing right now, which has me a bit peeved.
Sigh, if only everyone was thorough these days, I would be a happy camper.

 

Use the paid version you will save time and get many extra benefits than the free version (From my own experience)

4.0 is a long way to go- maybe the end of next year.
