    Hello,

I have just purchased phpld and installed it locally (localhost). All settings are default except that I have turned off captcha and reciprocal link.

However, I got an error message "An error occured while saving the link." when i tried to submit.

I have tried searching the web and phpld forum but to no avail.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Not sure what the reason would be, but I think your "localhost" environment can also cause that issue. Which soft you are running??

Don't you see any error log file in "root" ??

I'm on windows xp, running Apache/2.0.55 (Win32) and MySql 5.0.27 for phpld3.2. I set it up locally for testing purpose.

I don't see any other errors except this (at the moment). The contact form works fine.

    I never used 3.2 locally.

Usually with such errors, phpLD generate an error log in root folder in text file. (At least on web server).

Are you running any other script in with ur localhost setup ?
I am just asking coz improper setups can be a problem as well.

I was using xampp once, you can try it too.
Or try to do a fresh install of phpLD.

There is no error in the server log. There is also no other script.

The only error i could see is the error message when i tried to submit a link.

I have also reinstalled phpld but the problem still exists.

Yes, it might be due to web server, database or php settings but i need to find out if there are any settings within phpld that will cause this error.

I'm going to try install on a web hosting account later.

From what I know phpld doesn't work properly on a localhost (atleast for me, it never did), install it on some webserver and try on it. :)
