Phpld link back?

i was wondering how many of you pay the extra money to have the link taken off your site?i have the link on mine but was thinking of making the payment to remove it

 

I paid it for one of the directories I recently sold

 

I also paid to remove the footer link to PHPLD

I dont as i plan to switch soon to newer script . It doesnt hurt to have script link at footer much, you can always make it no-follow. Because there are no rules set as to what sort of link should remain.

 

I did on all the directories except for one.

 

At the very least, paying to get the credit link removed shows submitters that you are serious about investing in your directory.

 

I did on 1 and left the other.

 

Well...i usually submit most of the time to directories with no footer links to phpLD.
That shows that the promoter is serious in directory and it's not yet another directory in town
I have removed the backlink option on all 4 paid directories of mine. Fifth ofcourse is a free directory so i still haven't bought the removal for that

 

very good point.... BUT its not phpld that gets me.....
Its when you get a template and thiers 3-4 sponcers and
everyone and thier mother is listed.... bad business in my view

I will start buying my own custom templates soon

i dont pay them for getting link removed because it doesn't matter that much anyways if i have their link.

 

I paid to get it removed on two of my directories.

 

None-removed on mine. I may remove some links in a couple of years.

I prefer the unbranded versions; I inquired about an unbranded v2.x, but never received a reply to my PM @ their forums.

 

so,if i paid $25 for the rights to use 3.1,and i want unbranded now,is it $50 more or $75??...hmmm

 

Yes, the additional cost to unbrand it is $50.00

 

I think its more professional to remove the link, that is why I purchased the unbranded 3.06 version. Now, I have to make some good cash so I can remove the template designer link off the footer.

 

i had it removed on 1 & kept it on for the other.

Now that u reminded me, may consider removing it. However, i really don't see that it is such a big deal keeping it on. For me, it just reduces the number of outbound links I can place on the page....
