phpLD install error

    Hi,

    I hope this is the correct forum to post this...I need some help.

    I downloaded the free phpld directory software and unzipped the folder. I uploaded the directories and files to a subdirectory in my site-

    www.mysite.co.uk/directory/....(phpld folders and files)...

    I chmod the permissions to 777 on the directories and files as mentioned in the install notes.

    Then pointed my browser to both

    www.mysite.co.uk/directory/

    and www.mysite.co.uk/directory/install

    only to receive a 500 server error.

    My linux server runs Joomla absolutely fine and other php apps with never a problem. Has anybody any ideas on this one at all?

    If you have access to the server logs, take a look at your apache error_log.
