I just install a directory at Hostgator's hosting, the email function work for my domain name's email only. But it cannot send email to the Link Submitter, which is using non hosting domain name. Anyone hosted at Hostgator can help? Thanks a lot!
Sorry what you mean you cannot send email to link submitter? Are you using horde ? Or are you talking about the emails that phpld sends out to end user upon link submission ? Which version of phpld are you using?
The problem is like this.. e.g. My hosting domain is ABC.com and my visitor's email address is When I test the email function in PHPLD with following email, it is OK. FROM: TO: But when I change the visitor's (who submit the link) address, it cannot be delivered. FROM: TO: Is it something about smtp relay? How to set it in Hostgator? Thanks Version: PHPLD v3.0.5 (BETA)
have you configured your email template first and which protocol to use to send out the email? And are you using 2 or 3 version of phpld that is very important to know. Why you can send email to yourself is cause its sending to localhost, another issue could be hostgator might have some block on sending out emails. Did you first try to configure your outlook express(for sake of testing ur email permissions), if you can get that going, use same smtp settings in your phpld, i am sure it will work. Regards
