As the title says, Do you enable RSS and supply default meta tags on your PHPLD and why do you think its wise to do so ? Does the RSS and default meta inflict duplicate content penalty ? Plz voice your opinion...
I've always left the RSS feed buttons turned on as I don't believe this would be considered to be duplicate content since RSS is a common practice used by many.
I leave mine turned on, but since my primary directory is a blog directory, it only makes sense. Bloggers use RSS a great deal, and I have quite a few rss subscribers.
what about default meta tags in the search engine optimization section of phpld ? do you keep default meta off or add something to it ?
I have not used this new part yet. Believe it or not, I haven't had much time to upgrade my own directories.
I keep RSS feed ON and meta tags fields on submit a site form are enabled. The user is suppose to give meta tag info, it really helps in uniqueness of directory as well as useful for the search engine marketing.
Dont know if anyone realized this or not, but phpLD can build your meta tags for your cats and details pages (look under maintenance)
