I've been trying this many times. Build even mod for disabling categories from submissions (can be for main categories) Still I didn't like this preloading and displaying error message if category was closed for submission. Seems now I got it very simple, easy, without validating. Go to LinkForever.net or All4Seo.net submit page (first must agree guidelines). Check 'FEATURED' link and browse categories for additional cats. Can you see MAIN categories? Think - Yes But can you select it? Think - No It goes with <optgroup></optgroup>. That's easy. But for this I had to build completely new function for category tree. So, what do you think of it? This is for PHPLD script. Thanks.
Brilliance in Simplicity! M bows to U! are there any browser issues? Gr8 thinking! M. PS: do we see a MOD coming?
I tried with disabling some categories but this is not working under IE. IE doesn't support 'disabled' for <options>. But using <optgroup></optgroup> I have no problem with that. It works under most of main browsers. This way I can even rebuild my mods for closed categories. No more validations. Just disabled categories in combo box
Hello friend, I'd like to know how to disable submitting to main categories. I want to do it for one of my new directories. regards dotcompals
Today I will add a new mod only for this issue to my mods pack at www.linkforever.net/pld_mods.php This is so simple an easy, so useful too. I really liked it. Just one smart function for category tree and new selector.
As I wrote - it's already working on my LinkForever.net directory - but not for default category selector. However if you check 'PREMIUM' listing - additional categories will open. Then you can see on combo lists for additional categories - all top-level categories are not available for select but still visible I was preety fast with the mod - it's available now to download for my mods pack. It's already 11 mods in the pack
I read over Dargre's phpLD mod page and I can't find any reference to the terms. Hopefully, he will update us (and also update that page too).
Yep, that's my mistake. I never thought about it. So I decided to let install mods from the pack on 2 directories max. Updated info + added 2 fields for dir URLs on mods page. I was thinking of letting for unlimited installations, however then I should remove SPONSORED ADS mod from the pack as that would be too much. So think it's better as it is now. Doesn't concern mods with my installation as this is rather charge for my job than for mod. Few hours ago corrected the mod for easy DISABLING MAIN CATEGORIES from submissions. Though it was displayed correctly caused html errors. Now everything's OK.
