I think im missing something really basic here, ive uploaded the folders/files , ive changed the permissions to 777 where theyve asked , but i still cant get the installer to start. I guess im missing something really basic here. 3. Access the installer/updater by trying to go to the directory. It should forward you to http://www.your-domain.com/install/ , if it doesn't try typing in the URL directly. Code (markup): I actually tried this at three differnt free hosts which have php/sql support, i tried another dir script (free php directory) and it worked well. I think im missing some really basic config step. Can anyone point me to the right direction? hxxp://criminallysane.kwikphp.com/ I tried hxxp://criminallysane.kwikphp.com/install as it says, er .. n00b here
Hi, Owner of Phpld (david) is online rightnow so i think he able to help you out of this problem. Send him PM through here.
thx for the link to david , but i think someone will help me out here since i belive its a basic issue , im surely missing something very easy , i am stupid :|
It maybe that your hosting isn't set up to automatically recognise .php extentions and that .html is the default setting via the .htaccess configuration. Try: hxxp://www.yourdomain.com/install/index.php to be more specific Failing this make sure all the folders have uploaded properly - failing this simply use the free phpLD support forum... thats what its there for
First you shall check whether your server meets the requirements of running a php script and sql database. Second, check each file and folder make sure you don't miss any files uploaded. I tried to run a phpld2.1 on Windows server, and got the same problem as you.
