The main site itself allready show us some clue, it is only 2 page website, the offers though seems too good to be true, i just wonder why you ppl trust him so quickly, fortune 500 company will never give their project to ppl that only got 2 page website.

 

Finally got him on the phone, I'm going to see a beta by the 9th or the 10th as he promised. Will report back.

 

My advice, just get a refund, go somewhere else, you dont need to trust ppl that playing around your work twice, and frankly ask, do you trust him for the fortune 500 companies part??

 

Wow I spoke to him via phone the first day of this thread and was gonna outsource soem work to him. Glad I didn't my clients would have been pissed.

 

Well I did say this all the way back in May...

He said he was going to fix this, so we'll see.

 

We shall see.. but it's allready 2 months.. you should be able to see the beta at this timeline.

 

Well it's past Sunday (the deadline we agreed on) he pushed it to Wednsday again, and that's just not good enough for me anymore, I've heard it way too many times to allow it.

I've asked for a refund on the deposit and a cancellation of the project on the grounds that I have not received/seen anything tangible or satisfactory.

Update: Spoke on MSN and he said he would be able to refund my deposit in 5-7 days, he was very professional. I understand that sometime life does get in the way (as in this case) but it reached a point where I was no longer comfortable in the partnership. Good luck to all of us I suppose

 

You should wait until you GET the refunds before confirming that.

 

Since it's July 14th, I'm hoping I'll receive my refund tommorow or the next day...

damn that sucks.

 

he's definately giving you the runaround with the refund. easily can see it coming with the 5-7 additional days just to give you a refund. you definately need to demand your money back asap. good thing i didn't end up working with him.

 

My mistake actually

5-7 days from the 9th when the refund was initiated would be 16th, which is today.

I'm speaking to him now and hopefully we can work something out.

I dunno, I should be seeing something very soon, he says he's going to upload my files when we get home.

To be honest, I don't really care anymore...the excitement that comes with a new project has gone.

I'm hoping to finish the project before I start university.

 

Well, another day gone, tried to contact him. He said he'd have my thing uploaded when he got home, and he's home.

I'm feeling really unhappy and stressed about this whole situation right now. Until I see a working product, I won't be convinced otherwise anymore.

 

I have been very patient in not reply to things Dekker has said above.

I took on a project with Mike about a week before Dekker. We have been in communication throughtout the whole process.

Mike has produced no code of value.

His common replies are things like "I forgot to pay my host I will FTP this up as soon as it is up" - about 2 weeks ago.

"Or I only have about 6 hours of work left" - that was about a month ago.

After asking for a refund , I recieved none. When I reminded him of it, he said he didn't remember the conversation. I forwarded him the five emails where we discussed it.

This has been a miserable experience. This completely whiped out our drive to even do the project.

I am not sure what is going on but his company site phpconnection.com is even down.

I believe I have been scammed. I don't believe I will see any code or any money.

I also know that he will downrate me on I-trader just for posting the facts as he did Dekker above.

I have been more than patient in waiting to post on this.

Please do not use Phpconnection as a programmer. It will only cause you stress.

 

do you give quotes on how long a project will take? if so, will you pm me for more details? thanks.
