I Have a phpbb3 forum and i want to know what is the best between phpbb3 and vbulletin. Vbulletin owned licence is 180$ it's expensive for a licence. What you have to said about these two forum plateform ? Thanks A++
One is free and one is paid. So, it depends what you are running. Maybe like org domain and com domain
If money is a problem then the phpBB option is the best way to go but VB is the very best for sure and the beauty is that when your forum gets bigger you can import all the data into the VB platform because it has this facility built into it.
If i start with a 100$ licence how much the renew and the renew is each years or fir ever after the first year ?
If money is a problem stick to SMF,PHPBB. If not then you can always pick to spend your money to amke a better forum.
Personally i love phpbb3, the best free things. If you hardly have any money like me (i could afford a licence) but i just got phpbb3 and a paid template (allblab.com)
Because nulled one's get picked up. Then Jelsoft will contact your host and VBulletin will be taken off and you will lose all your data. I suggest VBulletin its my favourite forum software. Even with the price it's worth it. Its not that expensive for a license. A PHPFox license ( Social Networking Software ) is $300
vb is much better but it's expensive while phpbb is free if it's a small forum i think phpbb is enough..
vBulletin is more expensive, however it has greater security features than phpbb. I have been told so many times by webmasters who had forums using phpbb that they were hacked and lost everything. While vBulletin does have its vulnerabilities, they are small when compared to phpbb.
well PHPBB is free! and as we all know that free things are OK but not the best! vbulletin is the catch! however you can still start a forum with PHPBB! btw, does anyone have a good phpbb script i need one..i would appreciate that! well just for my collection! it has to have good modules/mods...
I still like phpbb2 (not 3) the best but I work on it myself and don't leave much intact. Is vbulletin easy to mod?
VB has lot of options. But it is expensive. I suggest you to go for Phpbb for now and once your forum become large then migrate to VB!
