PHPBB - Support and Such - If you need it, post here.

Since there is a great lack of clarity on where you can find answers for phpBB, and the fact that there's no popular support for bulletin board specific forums (MyBB, phpBB, vBulletin, SMF, etc etc) I am making this topic just for those who use phpBB.

If you have a template problem, an SQL error, some weird thing, oddities, wookies in the database, or gremlins roaming your board - post in this topic. If I can help or answer a question I will gladly do so.

As a slight disclaimer - I am under no obligation to provide help, and if my scedule is such that I can't offer it - I would hope someone else who knows the answer or can help will. I'm just one psychotic, and I lack multiple personalities to constantly have a host of folks to help.

Well, if you have a problem in your forum for PHPBB, no matter what it is, just use the following format to make it a tad bit easier on me. Messages like "Help me!" provide nothing. Do this:

Problem: Here be a title that says what it is (i.e. error message)
Description: A long winded description of the problem itself
Link: A link goeth here
Screenshot(if applicable): And a screenshot if you can
Other Info: Any background info or other such here.

Yeah, this is like the silence before the storm... clouds gathering, rumbles up high... and the sun is blotted out. I await the drop of the other shoe...

 

Minor update - I can usually help during the weekends, but weekdays now will be a trifle bit more busy for me - so the expectation of getting help from me quickly on Mondays or Wednesdays should be somewhat diminished whereas I used to be able to respond nearly immediately. That is... if anyone ever needs help.
